Visiting the horse stud farm in Janów Podlaski
The guide will take you on a fascinating tour of the Stud Farm in Janów Podlaski!
Contrary to its name, it is not located in Janów Podlaski itself, but in the village of Wygoda, 2 km away. Picturesquely situated among lush meadows by the Bug River, it is a true "horse paradise".
It is the oldest and one of the most beautiful stud farms in Poland, famous mainly for breeding purebred Arabian horses. Less known worldwide, but equally excellent, are the Anglo-Arabian horses bred here.
An additional attraction is the historic 19th-century stable complex, located in a picturesque old park. It is especially worth seeing the “Clock Stable” from 1848 and the “Front Stable” from 1841, which were designed by the outstanding architect Henryk Marconi. A walk through these historic places is not only an opportunity to admire the horses but also a chance to learn about the rich tradition of Polish breeding.
